This week there has been a change in my focus regarding MMA writing. After 105 articles, several interviews, and countless hours of less sleep, I will no longer be contributing articles to this blog. Instead, I will be focusing all of my writing at BleacherReport.com where I will be covering MMA for the site at events, press conferences, weigh-ins and all that other fun stuff.

I might, from time to time, write a quick blog about my day but it will more than likely be done at my twitter account (twitter.com/NahmMMA) first before I log on here again.

You can still catch all of my writing at Bleacher Report but NahmMMA.com will no longer be the source of my MMA journalism. If you've been reading this blog, thanks for supporting and I'll see you from press row.

Peace! I'm out.

For the first time in the organization’s history, the UFC will make their way to the Middle East for UFC 112. The venture will take place at Ferrari World, a theme park with an outdoor arena suitable for events such as a UFC card.

The night is headlined by two title fights in Anderson Silva defending his middleweight belt against Demian Maia and BJ Penn defending his lightweight strap against Frankie Edgar .

Betting lines for the fights are as expected with Penn and Silva being the favorites in their respected bouts.

Earlier today, BJ Penn was featured on CNN providing footage to the popular news organization regarding the tsunami warning sent out to residents of Hawaii.

The tsunami warning came on the heels of an 8.8 magnitude earthquake that rocked the country of Chile, killing hundreds of people, destroying buildings, and even flipping over cars on the street.

The quake was followed by some 40 or so aftershocks that had their own kick to them as some were measured to be greater than 6.0 on the Richter Scale.

BJPenn.com became the source for media coverage of Hilo Bay, which strikes many as a random method to collect news and information, but hey, they got the job done.

This action by BJ Penn goes to show that mixed martial artists care more for the world than what critics of the sport have claimed. Not all fighters concentrate on beating their opponents to a bloody pulp. Most have families they take care of and look out for.

Today, Penn’s family was threatened, but luckily no one was directly affected by tsunami damage.
